Wacom Launches PenPartner2 Pen Tablet for Use with Notebooks

Wacom’s PenPartner2 is a tablet geared towards business professionals and business travelers. The PenPartner2, which is cordless and battery-free, is meant for use with one’s notebook PC and as such reflects today’s notebook style trends. USB-power makes it easy to take with you and not worry about charging or batteries, it ships with the JustWrite Office software, making it ideal for making hand-written notes in Microsoft Office documents and signing emails. Users can even highlight text or paste sticky notes into documents.

As with most Wacom products, the PenPartner2 offers a sleek and professional-looking design. The tablet and pen come in black with anthracite accents, and featuring a smaller footprint, it also requires less desk space while at the same time improving its portability.

Speaking of improvements, the PenPartner2 features a flatter surface as well, avoiding wrist problems for the user when the pen is used for long periods of time. The pen itself features a rubberized grip area for more comfort and offers consumers an improved ergonomic shape.

The PenPartner2 will be available in the UK starting mid-September for £34.99 (including VAT). It is PC compatible and operates on Windows 98SE, ME, 2000 or XP. For JustWrite Office: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook 2000/XP/2003.
