Super slim phones are the latest rage across the world. Perhaps inspired by Motorola’s 13.9 mm thick clamshell-type RAZR phone, the world is getting inundated with slim phones. South Korea’s Pantech & Curitel has unveiled its PT-K1500 model to take on the competition that of course includes Samsung’s own SCH-V740.
This 16.9mm thick handset offers all the usual “Korean” bells and whistles (MP3 player, 1.3MP camera) in a package that weighs only 80 grams. It supports Text To Speech functionality as well. The 1.9” 176×220 pixel 262144 colors TFT LD display screen is a snazzy element that bowls over the users.
The 1.3M digital camera features video recorder/playback, multishot and digital zoom functionalities. The MP3 player comes along with dual stereo speakers and internal FM radio. It will be available soon from KTF in black or silver coloring, for a currently undisclosed price.
Other salient features include 64 bit Yamaha polyphonic ring tones, alarm clock, world clock, calendar, calculator, memo, PC sync, photo album, photo editor, wallpaper and games. The PT-K1500 offers 95 hours of standby time and a maximum of 3 hours talk time.
