Cingular, the largest wireless carrier in the United States has notched a major first in the North American market. It has become the first wireless company to offer Good Technology’s GoodLink wireless messaging and data access software and service on Windows Mobile- enabled Smartphones in the region.
GoodLink from Cingular can now be accessed on the Audiovox SMT5600 and Motorola MPx220 smartphones. Both devices are compatible to the latest version of GoodLink software; GoodLink 4.5 for Windows Mobile Smartphone, and promise to provide a host of benefits to business customers in terms of two-way wireless connectivity of corporate applications like e-mail, calendar, contacts, notes, and tasks. On the move, two way connectivity can be made possible by the use of the Audiovox SMT 5600, a lightweight handset weighing just 3.6 ounces and considered one of the world’s smallest Windows Mobile-based Smartphones. The Motorola MPx220 handset is another most noticeable option to avail the benefits of Goodlink wireless features.
“The availability of GoodLink from Cingular on Windows Mobile Smartphones gives our business customers who prefer the look and feel of a wireless handset a cost-effective way to access their corporate e-mail without having to purchase a PDA,” says Michael Woodward, Executive Director, mobile professional solutions, for Cingular Wireless.
Cingular is charging a monthly fee of $44.99 to provide GoodLink as an end-to-end service with unlimited data and a qualified voice plan.
