Kodak has unveiled a couple beauties to the digital camera market today, their new Kodak EasyShare P850 and P880 cameras are for avid photographers that need a few extra tools to get the right shot.
Kodak EasyShare P850
This camera will sell for US $499 and offers users a 5.1 megapixel sensor and features a 12X, 36 – 432mm (35mm equiv.), image-stabilized, f2.8 – f/3.7, Schneider Kreuznach VARIOGON lens. This ultra fast lens provides the necessary hardware to capture anything from fast-moving sporting events to everyday family fun.
A Hybrid AF system with 25 selectable points combined with optical image stabilization provides a 2-stop advantage over non-image stabilized systems. This will allow you to capture subjects in lower light conditions for both vide and still photography.
Kodak EasyShare P880
The P880 is a step up in class, and functionality. It boosts image capturing to 8 megapixels and offers a 24 – 140mm equivelant f/2.8-4.1, wide-angle optical zoom lens. At US $599 you are getting a great deal, especially with the Schneider-Kreuznach VARIOGON lens.
Precise framing and multiple shooting modes help you get the shot you are looking for. Image preview can be seen on the 2.5-inch, high-resolution LCD. Shutter speeds range from 16 to 1/4000 second plus a bulb setting.
