Walt Disney going mobile has been in the news for a while now and it was only a matter of time before the company officially announced the launch of new mobile services in association with Sprint.
The mobile services aim to utilize cutting edge technology and provide wireless voice services, exclusive handsets and a wide range of data features tailor-made for the unique communication needs of families. The tie up with Sprint will obviously influence the quality of these services and a number of Disney fans who can influence decision making in families are likely to be attracted to these services.
You can also expect the Disney branded handsets to be fun with many different colors, disney characters and designs. Disney’s vast amount of entertainment content shall also be featured extensively via the mobile phone services. Already with a vast online content offering with NTT DoCoMo in Japan way back in 2000, Disney is likely to utilize that experience extensively in this venture as well.
