Nintendo Co. Ltd. today unveiled their new GameBoy Micro, similar in design of the first generation Nintendo’s joystick, the Micro measures a mere four inches by 0.7 inches and weighs 2.8 ounces. The super-clear 2.0-inch LCD screen embedded in the center has adjustable brightness and contrast and is expected to make up for the lacking quality in past Game Boy screens.
More details on their new console was also revealed, the Revolution (unofficial name) will sport SD memory expansion, 512MB of on-board memory, two USB 2.0 ports and built-in Wi-Fi. In the front is a self-loading media bay for 12-centimeter optical discs and new games. Nintendo also created an interesting new method of generating revenue, gamers will be able to connect to Nintendo’s online database and purchase games back from 20 years ago and download them directly to their system.
Nintendo did not release a date or price on any of the systems.
