Today at CeBIT in Germany, Samsung unveiled a new smartphone with a 3 GB microdrive, the second smartphone released by the company within the last 6 months to offer storage in this class.

The new SGH-i300 supports a multitude of multimedia formats, a 240 x 320-pixel (QVGA) display, audio playback for MP3, WMA, AAC, AAC+, and OGG formats and video messaging and recording (MPEG4) or WMV playback. It also adds a scroll wheel for fast iPod style navigation.

With Bluetooth, stereo speakers and expandable TransFlash memory slot, the SGH-i300 runs on an unknown version of Windows Mobile OS. Connectivity to your network is through tri-band GSM/GPRS (900/1800/1900MHz) and connectivity to your desktop will be through USB 2.0, with mass storage device support to easily drag and drop media files to your 3 GB phone. and display.
