Motorola and Rogers Wireless today announced the North American launch of the Motorola V220 and the Motorola C650 handsets. Both models are packed with the latest mobile must-haves including world-roaming technology, 4x zoom VGA cameras, vivid colour display screen, and MP3 downloading capability. The quad band (850/900/1800/1900MHz) Motorola V220 and C650 handsets will initially operate exclusively in Canada on the Rogers Wireless GSM/GPRS network, the largest integrated voice and data network in Canada, and provides users with global roaming capabilities in more than 120 countries around the world.
“The Motorola V220 and C650 handsets are proof yet again that Motorola delivers high-quality technology to Canadians by combining wireless innovation and cutting-edge style,” said Colleen McClure, Director of Marketing, Motorola Canada. “The growing sophistication of the consumer market for advanced mobile functions is reflected in the demand for quad band capability and integrated cameras.”
“Affordable camera phones with reliable global network coverage, the Motorola V220 and C650 handsets are a great addition to the Rogers Wireless line up as customers look to get the most out of summer, wherever they are,” said Karen Webb, Vice President, Product Management and Marketing Plans, Rogers Wireless.
“Rogers Wireless is the only Canadian carrier that offers a wide range of quad-band wireless phones, so customers can travel comfortably virtually anywhere GSM network coverage – the world standard for wireless technology – is available.”
The chic V220 flip-phone is the ideal mobile companion suited for capturing and sharing life’s spontaneous moments. The integrated VGA camera and advanced photo messaging capabilities deliver outstanding on-the-go interaction.
