TwinMOS X-Frame II Personal Video Player At Computex

At Computex this week, TwinMOS was showing off their X-Frame II personal video player with a tad of Apple-ish style to it. The device is called the DVX-POD 7010, designed by MobiNote but rebranded by TwinMOS, it features an outer shell with bright-white and grey casing and measuring only 192 x 115 x 28 mm. Not a bad size for a 600g device with a 7-inch 754×480 pixel LCD screen. The MobiNote DVX-POD will play your standard WMA and MP3 audio as well as MPEG 4, DivX 3.11, 4, 5, QuickTime 6 and WMV files from its 20GB 1.8-inch hard drive.

Audio recording is limited to mono via the built-in microphone. JPEG, GIF and BMP image files can be viewed on screen. There is no information as to when this will be released, if it will or how much it will cost.

The DVX-POD 7010 will be available around August/September 2004 in Europe, U.S., and Asia. The MSRP will be around 599-699 USD.
