Pretec today has announced several new products to launch at CeBIT 2004 in Hannover, Germany (March 18-24).
256MB 80X Cheetah CF Card
First up is the Cheetah, the world’s fastest CF card with sustained read speeds of 13MB/s and write speeds of 12MB/s. The write speed is categorized as 80X.
8GB/16GB 80X ATA Flash PC Type II Cards
Pretec also set a new world record by unveiling the new high performance 8GB/16GB ATA Flash PC type II cards (5.0mm). The Cheetah series 8GB/16GB ATA flash PC Cards are fully ATA/True IDE compatible and operational in both 5V and 3.3V platforms. With sustained read speed of 13MB/s and write speed of 12MB/s, Pretec Cheetah series ATA flash PC Card is the highest speed flash PC Card on earth.
iDISK Tiny 2.0
Finally the Pretec iDISK Tiny 2.0, the smallest USB flash drive in the world, weighing at less than 5 grams and under 5 centimeters long, with surface area slightly smaller than the size of a US dollar quarter coin.
The truly tiny package delivers up to 1GB storage capacity now, with 2GB by the 2nd half of this year. Using USB 2.0 plug-n-play performance (up to 480Mbps).
CeBIT Sneak Peaks
Pretec will also unveil a 12GB CF card at CeBIT 2004, 300% larger capacity than any of its closest competitors in the world. A USB flash drive with 802.11b wireless LAN, Pretec’s iDISK WLAN and iDISK BT, USB flash drive with Bluetooth, will be demonstrated at CeBIT. With iDISK GPS and iDisk GPRS/GSM being introduced by the 2nd half of this year
The 256MB Cheetah CF Card will be available in March, the 8/16GB ATA Flash Type II Cards and 2GB iDISK Tiny will be available by 2nd half of 2004.
