As part of a one-year anniversary celebration for the launch of the mobile network operator’s first MDA device, T-Mobile is now offering customers a preview of a nameless, successor to the T-Mobile MDA. Due for arrival by the end of 2003, T-Mobile has revealed enough detail about the new device to get the attention of existing and potential users.
Not going into much detail, T-Mobile promised end users improvements to the processor and memory of the soon-to-be released MDA Pocket PC. With an upgraded display to support 16-bit (65,536) colour with the same size screen as the original MDA – 3.5″ and 240 x 320 pixels.
Windows Mobile 2003 for Pocket PC Phone Edition, will power the new MDA successor and will offer a range of improvements over the Pocket PC 2002 Phone Edition version. Adding an integrated digital camera with VGA resolution, tied into the systems MMS capabilities should make this an interesting device.
