Small, lightweight and ergonomically designed for fast and easy operation, Panasonic’s ultra-portable SV-SD50 e-wearä SD player offers up to 30 hours of uninterrupted play on just one “AAA” size battery. Triple decoders (for MP3, WMA1 and AAC2 formats) offer a broad range of cross-platform digital music options. The new player will be available in early September and will have a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $149.95.
Whether it’s for CD tracks ripped to WMA or downloaded MP3s, this e-wear player is ready to take your music anywhere. Users can easily transfer music files from a USB-compatible PC* with the included SD card reader/writer, then just pop the included SD Memory Card into the player and hit the streets! The tiny 64MB SD Memory Card, which is about the size of a postage stamp, holds up to 64 minutes of near-CD quality music in the High Quality mode (128 kbps) and approximately 129 minutes in the Extended Play mode (64 kbps).
“This year, we’ve made file transfer and management easier with the new Panasonic Media Manager (Version 3.0) PC software, which works with the new RealOneä player,” said Reid Sullivan, Vice President, Panasonic Entertainment Group. “Now it’s easier than ever to organize and listen to all of the digital music files on your PC, create playlists, and transfer music to your e-wear™ player.”
The SV-SD50 features play/stop: skip/search, play mode (Normal, 1 Repeat, All-Repeat, and Random play), EQ mode and a Hold switch. Ergonomically designed controls let users access most functions with the touch of one finger. With a quick glance at the player’s bright LCD display, users can easily gain status information such as track title, artist name, album title and elapsed time. As the player doesn’t contain any moving parts, the music will never skip.
The SV-SD50 e-wear player comes with in-the-ear headphones and an extra headphone extension cord; a neck strap; a 64MB SD Memory Card; PC software on CD ROM; and USB reader/writer.
Panasonic also markets 16MB, 32MB, 64MB, 128MB, 256MB and 512MB SD Memory Cards, as well as an increasing variety of SD-enabled products.
