Nintendo and A Bathing Ape Go Golden Over DS Lite

Click to ZoomEver since A Bathing Ape, or BAPE for short, got a little more mainstream, the brand hasn't quite been quite as popular in its native Japan. To draw a little more interest toward A Bathing Ape, the clothing company has teamed up with Shiggy and crew to create a golden version of the BAPE Nintendo DS Lite.

You may have seen the white version of the portable gaming machine that resulted from this partnership, but I guess regular old white isn't enough to spark some attention. A golden DS Lite, replete with Baby Milo branding all over it, is apparently now available for sale too.

Gold, a cartoon ape, and a funky stylized version of Mario on a DS Lite? If I didn't already have a DS Lite, I just might be sold on this product.
