Four new CDMA Phones from Kyocera |

  Kyocera has announced four new CDMA phones for the masses; two clamshells, one slider, and one candy bar style. Besides the different styles, the phones each have their own feature set geared towards different users.
The top of their line, the Slider Remix KX5, features a 1.3 megapixel camera with flash and 5x digital zoom, TransFlash slot (soon to be microSD) and an MP3 player. If you don’t want to shell out cash for a TransFlash card, you can store your goodies on the phones 16MB of onboard user memory. This phone is an upgrade to the KX2 we saw last year, and unlike the last model it features a nicer 262k color 176 x 220 screen.
The next phone is a simple entry-level clamshell with dual displays, speakerphone and BREW support. The Kyocera KX9 features a high-quality 65,000-color display, Enhanced Messaging Services (EMS), and a WAP browser.
The Kyocera Topaz KX7 & Kyocera Prisma KX17 are basically the same phone but feature different designs. The KX7 features a clamshell design and the Kx17 a candy bar with integrated antenna. Each of the budget handsets will feature a speakerphone, polyphonic ring tones, wallpapers, screensavers and games, plus an extensive contact directory and productivity tools.
All four handsets should hit CDMA carrier’s shelves in the 3rd quarter of 2005.
