Click to ZoomBell Mobility may not be getting the iPhone 3G, but it could be getting the next best thing with even better plans to boot. The Samsung Instinct is already making a few waves with Sprint in the United States and now it is entering the Canadian market through Bell Mobility.

Set to launch on August 8, the Bell Mobility version of the Samsung Instinct will be much the same as its Sprint counterpart. As you can imagine, this will make it a decent competitor for the iPhone 3G when that launches through Rogers Wireless on July 11. It's still got a camera, a large touchscreen display, and an integrated web browser. To make matters better, the phone and its plans are cheaper than what Rogers is doing with the iPhone.

The Samsung Instinct can be had for $149.99 with a three-year contract. Unlimited data is just $10 a month when paired with a voice plan and those start at about $20. After you factor in the system access fee and taxes, you're only looking at a monthly bill of around $45. The unlimited data includes on-device web browsing and email (including attachments), but premium services like GPS and live TV cost extra.
